Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Little Signs, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.

2. The App

Little Signs is an iOS app for learning American Sign Language (ASL) via themed units, sign-video galleries, and practice quizzes. It teaches the 250 everyday first-concept signs from the PopSign ASL v1.0 dataset, used under a CC BY 4.0 license.

3. Subscriptions

Little Signs offers two auto-renewing subscription plans, purchased through your Apple ID:

• Weekly. Billed weekly. No free trial.
• Yearly. Billed annually, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Full course access is gated behind an active subscription (a "hard paywall") after onboarding.

4. Content License

Sign videos are from the PopSign ASL v1.0 dataset (Georgia Tech & DPAN), licensed CC BY 4.0, shown as-is with no modification to the signing itself. Full credit and license link are in Settings.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the app — including attempting to extract, redistribute, or resell the licensed content outside the terms of its CC BY 4.0 license, or to reverse-engineer or interfere with the app's operation.

6. No Medical, Legal, or Fluency Claims

Little Signs is an educational practice tool. It does not guarantee fluency, certify proficiency, or substitute for instruction from a qualified ASL teacher or interpreter.

7. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Simena Digital LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
